We offer two different programs to help improve your English skills. 

You may be able to participate in these programs at no cost, depending on whether you meet the eligibility criteria. 

The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program is for people looking for work and registered with Centrelink. The SEE program develops English language, literacy and numeracy skills. In particular, it provides participants with skills that will lead to employment or further education opportunities. 

You may be eligible for SEE if you are:

• Working age (15-years and Age Pension Age)and looking for full time work
  
• Registered as a jobseeker
• Not experiencing challenges that prevent you attending classes
• An Australian citizen, permanent resident or temporary visa holder with working rights in Australia.

For more information or to confirm if you are eligible talk to your employment services provider or Centrelink. They will make a referral for you.

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is for newly arrived migrants. The AMEP is designed to give eligible migrants the foundational English language and settlement skills you need to confidently live and work in Australia. You may be eligible for the AMEP if you are a permanent resident of Australia or you hold an eligible temporary visa.

Do you need better skills for a new job? Undertaking the SEE (Skills for Education and Employment) program can help.

When you take part in the SEE program, we can help you set goals and improve your chances of getting a job or into further study by improving your English language, literacy and numeracy skills.

With improved language, literacy and numeracy skills, you also will find everyday tasks like writing, filling in forms and reading much easier. 

Your new skills will provide you with confidence and a greater ability to engage in your local community. 

Yes. The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program is delivered both full-time and part-time.

Provided you meet certain criteria, there is an option to enrol in a part-time course that suits you and your existing commitments. Talk to your employment services provider or Centrelink about this.
