  • Disability Assessments
  • Disability Assessments

What is a disability assessment and what is it used for?

A disability assessment is any kind of assessment conducted for people with disability designed to ensure they receive the support they need to live a quality life.

Assessments are generally conducted by Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Disability Specialists, Speech Pathologists, Rehabilitation Counsellors, Social Workers, Nurses or other allied health professionals.

After conducting an assessment, the assessors provide reports with actionable outcomes designed to enable organisations to best support the person with disability.

    Examples of disability assessments include:

    • High Level Personal Care Needs Assessments
    • Manual Handling Assessments
    • Neuropsychological Assessments
    • Support Needs Assessments
    • Behaviour Support Plans
    • Pre-Employment Physical screenings
    • Functional Capacity Evaluations
    • Cognitive Assessments
    • Language and speech assessments
    • Activities of Daily Living Assessments
    • Vocational Assessments

    Who will conduct the assessment?

Disability assessments are generally conducted by Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Disability Specialists, Speech Pathologists, Rehabilitation Counsellors, Social Workers, Nurses or other allied health professionals.

Our assessors specialise in assessments, and in utilising their skills, knowledge and experience in this setting.

Why should our organisation choose Assessments Australia for our disability assessment services?

The benefits of partnering with Assessments Australia for your assessment and related services needs include:

Responsiveness: We provide a fully scalable, independent assessment, analysis and modelling structure. We also provide resources for one-off projects that fall outside the core competencies of your organisation, or for those projects where urgency or high demand place the task beyond an organisation’s response capabilities.

Quality: All of our assessors are subject matter experts in their field. Our assessors undergo regular training and professional development to ensure they are the most qualified people for the job. We conduct quality assurance and peer reviews of any final reports to ensure 100% compliance with all customer requirements and expectations.

Experience: We have successfully delivered multiple projects on regional and national scale in the aged care, disability, child welfare and educational sector.

Reliability: All projects are managed by our experienced program managers with support from our team of clinical and administrative staff to ensure that the process is managed efficiently and exceeds customer expectations.
