Disability Gateway

With a broad range of national and state programs, advocacy organisations and initiatives, it can be difficult to find the right information regarding support for people with disability in Australia.

The Disability Gateway is a hub for connecting people with the information and services that might help them. Each section contains videos, and links to available support in each area and you can select your state to ensure you are seeing what is available in your area.

There is a broad variety of information in each of the links, making the Disability Gateway a great resource if you are finding it difficult to find what is available in your area. There is also a directory of emergency and safety contacts with direct phone numbers so you can access support quickly and easily.

Disability Gateway includes:

  • Employment including employment training, how to find and keep a job as well as your employment rights
  • Education including early childhood, primary and high school, and university or vocational programs
  • Health and wellbeing including healthcare services, mental health and wellbeing, and respite care
  • Housing Income and finance
