Sean Gordon joins MAX Solutions Advisory Board

Prominent Indigenous Business leader and advocate Sean Gordon has recently been appointed as a new member of the MAX Solutions Advisory Board 

Mr Gordon will work with MAX Solutions as a member of the Advisory Board with a particular focus on Indigenous development, including improving social, cultural and economic outcomes for Indigenous Australians through the services MAX offer.

MAX Solutions Managing Director, Deborah Homewood, said MAX is in a fortunate position of being able to create positive change for Indigenous Australians.

I look forward to utilising his expertise to recognise the strength of Indigenous Australians and better service the needs of our Indigenous customers and staff,” said Ms Homewood.

A proud Barkingji and Wangkumara man, Mr Gordon is deeply connected to the Indigenous community and has served on numerous boards and Advisory Groups and is one of the Empowered Communities leaders.

Mr Gordon’s background is in the employment education and training sector. He recently established his own consultancy and building company, Gidgee Group, after honing his skills as the Chief Executive Officer of Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council on the NSW Central Coast for nine years.

Mr Gordon said he was excited to be a new member of the MAX Solutions Advisory Board with the ability to make a substantial impact at the community level.

“I’ll be looking at how I can add value to the work MAX is already undertaking. I hope to achieve improved outcomes for Indigenous people, so that staff are supported and have opportunities to progress in the organisation, and customers have access to good quality services and programs that can transition them into meaningful and sustainable employment."

Mr Gordon will join domestic violence campaigner, 2015 Australian of the Year and 2019 Queen’s Birthday honour recipient, Rosie Batty as a key advisor to MAX Solutions.
