The prestigious Queensland Training Awards celebrates top achievers in training in the state with categories for apprentices, trainees, vocational students, teachers and trainers, as well as training providers and employers.

Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development the Honourable Shannon Fentiman recently announced the Metropolitan regional finalists for Queensland’s top training awards.

Sunnybank High School Grade 12 Student Floyd Hill was named among these top achievers after recently completing a two-year School Based Traineeship at MAX Solutions National Operations Centre, beginning in March of 2017.

“These apprentices and trainees, students, teachers, employers, and training and community organisations have used training to build their careers, grow their businesses and strengthen their communities,” Ms Fentiman said.

MAX Solutions Managing Director Deborah Homewood said Mr Hill became a valued member of the organisation during his two-year traineeship.

“Floyd was a highly enthusiastic and lively team member who worked closely with a number of MAX support teams including Information Technology, Human Resources, Project Management, Marketing and Communications and Learning and Development,” Ms Homewood stated.

“Floyd never missed a day of work and was successful in breaking a cycle, becoming the first person in his family to gain meaningful employment.”.

Floyd Hill completed a Certificate III in Business at MAX Solutions, and we wish him the best of luck as he attends the state final of Queensland Training Awards in Brisbane on 14 September.
