MAX Employee Luke Arber Appointed Permanent Gippsland Employment Facilitator

MAX Solutions congratulates Gippsland Regional Manager, Mr Luke Arber who has been appointed the permanent Gippsland Employment Facilitator.

At MAX Solutions we know that our people are at the heart of everything we do and we’re proud to support career diversity to encourage emerging leaders such as Luke. We wish Luke all the best in this new position as he works with the Gippsland community to connect job seekers to training, job opportunities and support.

Luke has 15 years of experience delivering Job Network, Job Services Australia (JSA), Disability Employment Services (DES) and jobactive at both local and regional levels. Luke has a diverse range of experience from the Defence Force and has previously worked for TAFE and Employment Innovations. As such, Luke has connections across a wide array of businesses, employment services’ providers and training organisations, as well as all levels of government.

Luke has a passion for helping people find work, having experienced redundancy himself and has personal experience with the energy industry with family members and friends working in the industry, giving him insight and compassion for those affected by the Hazelwood closure. Luke said his new position as Employment Facilitator will allow him to be an on-the-ground presence working with retrenched workers across Gippsland to coordinate services and transition workers to alternate employment.

“I look forward to collaborating with Gippsland jobactive providers, registered training organisations and employers – as well as community and other support agencies – in order to better understand, coordinate and support the delivery of services to redundant workers and their families, affected by the closure of the Hazelwood Power Station and Mine living within the region,” Mr Arber said.

Member for Gippsland, Darren Chester, said Mr Arber’s appointment was another key step in delivering the $43 million Latrobe Valley investment package as well as assisting those affected by the closure of the Hazelwood Power Station.

"The Federal Government is committed to ensuring affected workers, their partners, contractors and business people in the Hazelwood supply chain receive the support they need to secure employment, as a matter of priority," Mr Chester said.

"Mr Arber will be a valuable and accessible on-the-ground resource to assist local families. I encourage locals looking for work and employers who are looking for workers to contact Mr Arber as soon as possible."

Luke will be based at the LaTrobe Valley Authority office at 131 Princes Dr, Morwell VIC 3840.

Luke can be contacted on 0439 713 482 or luke.arber@gippslandfacilitator.org.au.
