It’s a secure hub where you can access services like Medicare, Centrelink (Services Australia), Australian JobSearch, Child Support Services and all other major government services. For those that are looking for work, your profile on Jobsearch and myGov account can be linked so you can take advantage of a range of handy online tools such as:
- View and agree to your Job Plan.
- Declare your income to the Department of Human Services.
- Keep track of appointments.
- Apply for jobs online with jobactive.
What else can myGov do?
When you sign in to myGov you may notice lots of other services available that will make your life much easier such as updating your driving licence or viewing recent medical documents.
Sick of missing important mail? Well you can update your address once online and all the major services will have the updated information too! If you prefer your mail digitally you can even switch completely to online correspondence and its all kept in the one inbox.
Lodging a tax return just became cheaper, faster and easier too. through your myGov account you access employer tax summaries and do your tax from the comfort of your own home. In fact, if you have used the ATO app on your phone to track any deductions over the year, they can sync up with your account and make filing a return even easier.
If you are a participant of the NDIS you can also do several things online to make life a little simpler such as:
- See your current plan and previous plans.
- Create and view payment requests.
- Create and manage service bookings.
- Upload documents, including assessments or service agreements.
- Share your plan, or parts of your plan, with your service providers.
- Find service providers.
