Creating Jobs for Indigenous Australians with ACCOR Hotels

ACCOR Hotels celebrated the most recent graduates of their Indigenous Job Ready Program last week in a graduation ceremony at the Sydney Olympic Park Novotel Hotel with MAX Employment ambassador and Rugby League legend Steve Mortimer in attendance.
The ceremony was a celebration of the participants’ completion of the program, guaranteeing them a position within the ACCOR network of Hotels, including premium Hotels such as Sofitel and Pullman.

ACCOR National Indigenous Programs Manager Marc Bennie said the program is part of company initiative to build their Indigenous workforce.
MAX Employment is the largest provider of employment services in Australia, with employment, health, training and humanitarian services provided in more than 120 locations nationally, including some of Australia’s most remote regions.
Mr. Bennie said it was in part thanks to support provided by employment agencies like MAX across the country that the program has expanded from 16 to 27 nationally.
“It goes a long way to closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians and embracing the benefits of having a culturally diverse workforce,”he said.
MAX Employment and ACCOR Hotels will continue to work together to create job opportunities for Indigenous Australian’s through the 27 programs nationally.
