MAX Solutions’ charitable arm MAX Foundation has donated $5,000 to Specialisterne Australia, one of the first companies in the world to highlight the benefits of a neurodiverse workforce.

Specialisterne Australia National Manager, Vicky Little, said the donation will go a long way with assisting employers to understand, value and develop their capacity to identify and support the unique capabilities of people on the autism spectrum.

“The grant will contribute to our Sydney Cluster Assessment Centre in July. This is a pilot program that will provide a unique opportunity to multiple employers to access and hire autistic talent within their workplace through our innovative autism hiring program,” Vicky explained. “We then work to support the individual and employee in their transition into work to help them thrive in the workplace.”

Specialisterne works with a range of organisations who want to diversify their workforce, helping employers and managers build their capabilities to support autistic staff members and sourcing individuals looking for careers in particular fields. So far Specialisterne have helped recruit employees in roles such as information technology, records management, agriculture and engineering.
