AKG, Australian-owned employment, health and wellbeing, education and community services provider, is pleased to announce that it has been successful to deliver 23 services across 22 employment service areas (ESAs) in the new disability employment program, called Inclusive Employment Australia.

AKG will bring together its experience of delivering disability employment services through its uLaunch and MAX brands, which have supported more than 80,000 people in their search for employment over the past seven years.

AKG is also pleased that as part of its Real Futures joint venture, services will be provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers in 21 ESAs .

Inclusive Employment Australia combines the Employment Support Service (ESS) and the Disability Management Services (DMS) programs into a single program.  It expands eligibility for individuals and introduces different levels of servicing intensity.  Inclusive Employment Australia also gives people greater choice through a diverse provider market and greater control of their individualised plans.

AKG Managing Director Darren Hooper comments:

“Our combined organisation has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the industry, working with thousands of employers across the country in every state and territory to deliver meaningful, long-term employment to people with disability.  We have a tremendous opportunity with our combined experience to provide customers with services that are specific to their needs and empower them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

“Across our organisation, we have an abundance of lived experience, meaning we have a first-hand perspective of the challenges and barriers that exist for people with disability looking for work. The changes in this contract will give us more ability to connect with and focus on the communities we support. We continue to leverage the strong partnerships that we have with community organisations to localise our services and provide opportunities to our customers to improve and transform their lives.”
