MAX representatives making a donation to BiPolar Australia

Bipolar Australia, which advocates for people living with bipolar disorder, has received a $5,000 cheque from the charitable foundation of Australia’s largest employment services provider, MAX Solutions.

Over 568,000 Australians currently live with bipolar, a serious lifelong condition which features debilitating mood swings when untreated.

Managing Director of MAX Solutions, Deborah Homewood, said the donation recognised that many of the organisation’s customers suffered from the complex mental health condition.

“MAX staff are aware of the scale of the problem for many of our customers, and the challenges they face” Ms Homewood said.

“We want to ensure that the donations made from MAX Foundation have a direct impact on the people, and communities, we’re working with.

“Every dollar contributed to the foundation by our staff is matched by MAX Solutions, making our employees’ contributions go even further.”

Bipolar Australia’s Founder and Executive Director, Susana Bluwol, welcomed the donation and said the funding boost would help Bipolar Australia build on its vital work in supporting and advocating for people with the condition.

“We want to ensure that every Australian affected by bipolar disorder is able to hear the good news that recovery is possible,” Ms Bluwol said.

“Returning to work is a major part of the recovery journey, and we look forward to continuing to work with partners including the MAX Foundation on this critical issue in the coming years.”
